Oh, how I have missed writing to you guys for some time now. Hmmm... I have missed this atmosphere so much! I’m finally done with my exams and I just feel, I don’t think I know what I’m feeling right now! The only word popping in my head is “free" and I don’t remember being in bondage before😂

I have had this topic hidden in my drafts for a really long time and I must say it is a topic that has affected me in many ways. Yes, many ways💔. Everyone has a way of handling pressure and as an overthinker, I take chances in being dramatic😂. Well, I have been able to manage those pressures or rather feelings for some months now and I think I’m the new pro in town, although there are always hard times no doubt!

Here are a few pointers that could be really handy in managing ”social media" pressure and they have definitely worked for me:

Take a break: Everyone needs a break sometimes, in fact, it’s a necessity. I take breaks too, I just turn off my data and watch a romantic movie(I won’t advise horror because I hate horror movies🧟 but if that works for you, fine!). Other times, I rather have healthy conversations with physical friends and just make myself feel good. Dear reader, observe and learn to know times where you actually need a break. Do not allow someone’s life that could actually be far from reality to rob you of your happiness (I know I could have actually said fake life, but let me be😊). Everyone experiences bad times and they don’t always put it out there but be convinced that everyone experiences hard times too. If I’m to start listing all my hard times, I won’t finish because they are endless. You are not alone!

“Make sure you’re also HAPPY in Real"

Make use of affirmations: Personally, affirmations has always helped me. I have had a time in my life where I battled with low self esteem and it affected me a lot. I couldn’t scroll past people's status and not ponder on how big of a failure I felt I was. People’s words and actions were able to get to me even at the slightest possible means, it was a terrible time in my life. Well, I got tired of being sensitive(I’m definitely not the only one who gets tired of hard times). Well, I knew I needed a change, I understood that I was experiencing low self-esteem and altered to make changes. I started reading self-help books and that was where I came across affirmations and it has helped me so much. Affirmation helps you focus on the good, it purifies your thoughts and motivates you. You are unique and no one has the right to tell you otherwise, you have to believe in yourself and you have to take charge of yourself.

“Comparison is the fastest way to take all the fun out of life."

Pray about it: This is the easiest for me. When you solely believe in God and have faith that God can take care of any of your problems no matter how petty it might be, then you’re a step closer to living a peaceful life. I have noticed over time, that whenever I pray about my worries I feel light-weighted. I mean, I just cast all my worries on God and simply just breath. When I see my friends doing things I wish to be doing, I get all worried about the uncertainty of the future. It’s really not easy when you find yourself in a place where you feel stagnated. A lot of things run through the mind at moments like that but an immediate solution is to simply pray and remind yourself that God’s plan is the best. He is never late! Always right in time. Let someone say a louder Amen!!! Brethren, I believe I have blessed you today 👏🏾.

I could go on and list some more pointers but I would leave them for another day. I hope you’ve learnt a thing or two from today’s blog post💃🏻. Please let me know what you think in the comment section below. Feel free to add a few pointers that might be of help to someone else.

Remember to love yourself as much I love you!💕
