You know I'm always having one friend like that😂. Well my friends are amazing! They inspire me a lot mostly because we get down into deep conversations most times. A friend of mine who just recently had a break up due to some misunderstandings, had so much to say about what he wanted from his relationship. Hey my heartbroken niggas! You know that point when you're finally taking time to reflect on past wrongs and challenges of your past relationship just because you're still perplexed on why the breakup happened? Yea! He was finally at that space. He did a lot of thinking and that led to today's post. 

There are various qualities that holds a relationship and I feel if both parties work hand in hand to satisfy each other's needs, relationships wouldn't be so complicated. This is a comprehensively list of what “men" wants.

• A lady that's super cool and friendly

No man wants to be worried about the attitude his girlfriend is going to give to people he really cares about, while trying to introduce her to them. He doesn’t want her to turn up her nose or be less friendly and definitely not rude! That's a total turnoff please. It is important that as his teammate in life, you're his teammate in all areas of life too.


• A lady with great sense of humor

Every lady loves a man with good sense of humor, but I’d argue that it’s equally as important in the other direction as well. Particularly if a man has a great sense of humor, it will be lost on a woman who is too dry or stiff. Furthermore, it could cause tension if he is often funny and joking, and you're always so serious and stiff. It is important for a couple to be able to joke around with each other. It helps lighten the mood, makes extended periods of time together more fun, and yes! Laughing together never gets old.

• A lady that's ambitious

Oh well! In addition to supporting and encouraging your partner in pursuing his own goals and dreams, you should have yours as well. As a mature woman you should have a vision for your future and  most importantly, chase after it with voracity. I guess every woman wants to be someone her partner can take on the world with (a teammate in that relationship—and in life as well).

• A lady that's consistent 

Being consistent is a valuable virtue because it lets your partner know that you really are who you are. No man wants to get to know you during the first couple of months of dating, but then suddenly sense transformations the moment a relationship kicks off! Total turnoff babe. To clarify this point, think of consistency as the opposite of volatility. If someone is unpredictable and volatile, it’s difficult to know how they will be acting towards you on a certain day, and that gets odd no matter how aesthetically pleasing that person is.

• A lady with the best heart

 A lady with the best heart is the best thing any man can ask for. A lady thats willing to put in her effort in pushing the relationship forward. A lady that's kind hearted, affectionate and loving. Damn! No man wants to miss that. Be a woman that smiles at little gestures, a woman that radiates warmth from her heart a woman that's worth everything you can imagine. Yes! That is a woman a man would want to spend his entire life with. Everyone has a unique heart and so you can be your own definition of lady with the best heart. It’s no secret that sometimes the romance wears off overtime in longer term relationships, but you shouldn’t let it – and neither should your partner. Put effort!


• A lady with intelligence 

There is no denying that someone’s looks are what initially draws us to them. It’s difficult to spot a great personality from across the room. Many a fling was built on physical attraction alone, but how long can it last? When conversations lack depth or intrigues, we often fill our time with physical activity together, but it is impossible to build a real connection or lasting relationship with someone on that alone. Being intellectually challenging and having the ability to hold real discussions about meaningful topics, will always trump shallow beauty in the long run.

• A lady with manners and respect

Be a kind person and be nice to people around you. Men prefer warmhearted women who are tough when they need to be, but have a kind interior as well. It’s a turn off when women have an entitled angry air around them. Being kind and respectful will win a man over. Most men need a woman who appreciates them for who and what they are. Look at what he’s skilled at and passionate about and be encouraging in a genuine way. Don’t pretend to feel a way you don’t, just to make a man interested in you.

It’s a little old school, but some men also want to be seen as heroes in a sense. That means he wants to be someone you look up to or go to for advice. Ask him questions about things you’re genuinely interested in. Ask for his input. Going to the person you care about when you’re struggling with something is part of a healthy relationship and will also make a man feel needed and wanted.

Freedom in a relationship means giving a man space when he needs it, letting him go out with his male friends, encouraging his hobbies, and respecting him as an individual separate from the relationship you share. Giving a man freedom also means that he isn’t your entire life. If you define yourself by the man you’re seeing, there’s a good chance you could scare him away.

Tupac famously raps, “I want to take away your pain and misery but all I need is your faith in me.” Having trust and faith in a man means you think he’s a good person. You know him and aren’t trying to accuse, blame, or attack him. If a man doesn’t feel comfortable with you, he’ll move on to another woman. Trust and have faith in a man unless he gives you a reason not to. Being on the same team, being partners in crime, is at the heart of true love. If you want to give yourself the chance to feel and experience this, learn to let go and trust the person you’re with.
